swimming in Dec.

We went to the Borgess Health and Fitness Center for family swim time. (Norah loved the water), however before we went I got her dressed in her little flower bath robe and needed to get pictures, not just because she looks so cute, but she is almost too big for it! My little baby is growing so fast....but I love every new thing she does, I will just miss my little baby someday when I look back.

Christmas with the Gregersens.

It isn't easy to get a big family together for a picture with a self time camera. So I was quite pleasantly surprised to see that this picture turned out so nicely. Even the babies are looking at the camera!

Christmas pictures.

We were a little late with the Christmas portraits...since Norah wasn't feeling well I decided to wait a couple of days. She is feeling better these days....still has a cough, but overall is becoming her happy little self again. She is such a pretty baby, I can't believe that Jayme and I could make such a cute kid! =)

Merry Christmas!

Today is Norah's first Christmas...she is fighting a cold today, and really struggled to stay in the "Christmas Spirit", she spent alot of the day napping.
We enjoyed watching her open her presents, we then let her nap while we had a small ham dinner, then we all headed outdoors and went to the theater to see "Charlotte's Web" It was very good, and so was Norah, she fell asleep in the beginning and woke up, just as the movie ended. What a good girl. We ended the day visiting our friends Ray and Grace Brandon and the kids. It was nice to spend that time with them. They adore our sweet baby. It is fun to see them love on her so much. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

dee..troit basketball

I bought Jayme, Matthew and I Piston tickets for Sat. game for Christmas. Norah enjoyed the game...after she had a nap first. Uncle Matthew bought her a Rasheed Wallace jersday, and a stocking hat with mittens. Spoiled baby!
It was a good game...Pistons won by almost 30 points.

meeting Santa

This was quite a story. We waited over two hours to get a picture with Santa....fortunetly they take your name and let you go shop and do whatever. So we did. Unfortunetly, Norah fell asleep so as we were getting close to our turn we were doing all we good to keep her happy. As she was on Santa's lap...I was taken lots of pictures and just happened to look at my camera screen, and it was saying "no memory card'!!! I couldn't believe I left it at home...in my computer. So we had to pay the outrageous price for their picture. It was $15 for one 5x7. I was so mad at myself....but Jayme kept saying it's ok. Oh well...at least we got a good picture. Because I don't want to go back and wait all over again.
Santa was very nice to her, and as you can see....she liked him too.

we're buddies

Lily (our cat) has really surprised us. She doesn't like any other people...and runs and hides when anyone comes over...we were nervous how she would react to Norah. She seems to know that she is something special and not to be messed with....or hissed at! Lily likes to play with Norah's toys....or just lie down and watch her play, out of Norah's reach of course. =)

lazy sunday afternoon

These are rare....lazy afternoons, however last week we all took a good nap. Even Norah relaxed and took a nap....that doesn't happen as often as we would like.

ho ho ho

here is another pic. of Norah is her Santa outfit...I took way too many pics. of her that day. She was just so cute...I couldn't resist.

doubled her birth weight

Norah is growing! She had her six month appt. today, and she now weighs 15.7lbs. They said she looks great! Unfortunetly, she had to get four shots today, but she did great.
As you can see, she loves to eat her cereal. And she is a messy eater...what baby isn't. She is growing up so fast, the Dr. said in another month she will be able to eat more regular foods...wow....she won't be my baby much longer. I plan to savor every moment I have left.

precious sleeping baby

There are days when she is so fussy, so whiny, so irritable, so loud!, so....difficult. But then there is that amazing moment of silence and she is asleep, so peaceful, beautiful and kissable....and I fall in love with her all over again. How wonderful it is to be her mom.

its beginning to look like christmas

Another adorable picture of my baby.

pretty smile

This picture was taken when I was getting ready for a photo shoot that was going to be done at my house. Norah was helping me by sitting there and letting me practice on her. I love her smile in this picture...she is not much of a smiler so I just treasure it when i can get a picture of it.

decorated for Christmas

We decorated the house the other day for Christmas. Norah loves to look at the Christmas tree, and try to touch the lights....if I would let her. =) We are looking forward to her first Christmas. Our Christmas celebration takes on a whole new meaning now.

This is one of my favorite outfits of Norah's. It is getting to small, so I wanted to get some pictures. Can you believe she will be 6 months old next week!?!? Wow...

clipping coupons.

Norah loves to "help" me when I am clipping coupons on Sunday afternoons. She loves to play with all the scrap paper. She makes a big..BIG...mess, but loves it. You just have
to keep an eye on her because she likes to eat the paper! She is really getting the sitting think down good now. She loves to practice it.

Cousins...buddies.

Marshall sure loved to make Norah laugh....he was good at it too. She loved to watch him and just giggle. Marshall is proudly holding his soccer trophy from this season. We were able to watch him "play" (if you call running aimlessly around a soccer field playing) his last game. He scored a goal...in the wrong net...but we didn't tell him that. He told me later that day that he hates soccer now...I asked him why and he said "because it hates me". He obviousely didn't like that sport too much. He wants to try baseball next. Heh he's five years old..he has time to decide what he wants to do. =) In the soccer picture....Marshall is the guy lagging behind in the blue hooded sweatshirt, and hands in his pockets. =) He wasn't into the game all that much at that point in time. It was fun to watch him...goofy kid.

We're on vacation!

Hi everyone. We just got back from vacation from North Carolina...visiting Marie, John, and of course Marshall. We had a great time. Auntie Marie just loved spending time with Norah. Too bad they don't live closer....
Marshall is getting so big, and he just loved playing with Norah...he was so gentle with her, and kept saying he loved her. Norah got to pet Auntie's horses. She loves animals! Marshall proudly showed off his SUPERMAN costume from Halloween, but he told me that BATMAN is still his favorite. I miss that little guy already, we had a great time.

happy halloween.

This is Norah's halloween costume....our little princess. Halloween night might be too chilly for her to wear this costume, but we are hoping she can so we can show her off. I am planning to take more pictures of her in her costume...we just did a quick photo shoot this morning and this is what we got. Isn't she just so pretty? =)

five months old

I took these photographs of her for her five month old pictures. She wore this dress for her baby dedication. She looked so beautiful. It just amazes me how much a baby grows in five months time.

Loyal Cub Fans

Jayme is already looking forward to the 2007 baseball season.....he loves his Cubs, and is already teaching Norah how to become a true fan. She really liked playing (drooling) on daddy's baseball. Jayme wanted to get some pictures of his favorite little cubby. I keep reminding her to be careful....those
Cubs will break your heart.

baby dedication

We had Norah's baby dedication at church yesterday. It was a great service. A day that means so much to our family. Norah did a great job there, and she had lots of friends and family there to watch to support her and her parents.
She looked exceptionally cute that day. =)

Pumpkin Patch

Today we took Norah to Gull Meadow Farms....apple orchard and pumpkin patch. She really didn't "get" the whole Pumpkin patch experience...but of course we took pictures. Before we know it....Halloween will be here. She is going to be a Princess for Halloween....not that she isn't one already...she will just look the part that night.

love the "Bumbo"

This is Norah in a Bumbo Seat. These are great for babies who don't have their sitting balance yet. Norah usually likes hers.....in this picture she is at her friend's house....Kenna...and testing out her Bumbo....we liked it so much we bought one for her the next day.

need sleepy

Norah has really been struggling with sleeping through the night. I guess it is something I will just have to get used too....for now.
She will sleep initially about 4 hours, then it is up almost every 1-2 hours...usually she just wants the pacifier. She is addicted to that thing. I am trying really hard to not give in and let her sleep with us everynight....it is hard, because I know she loves it and sleeps really good with us. But I must win this battle. I must...I am the adult right....but I am so tired. hmmmm.

trip to the U.P.

We had a great time up north...the colors were amazing and the weather was perfect. Norah enjoyed it too...though these days...or shall I say nights have been really rough, her sleeping schedule really got messed up with all that traveling. Oh well.
It was fun to see all the family, and introduce Norah to all of them. We love to show off the love of our life to anyone. We were gone up there for three days, and I took about 400 pictures. It was so beautiful up there....I couldn't stop....so here are a couple of my favorites.

Hi Grandma Opal

This blog entry is just for Grandma Opal.....Norah says Hi and that she loves
you. She misses you because her mommy always tells her how wonderful you are. She hopes to see you again soon. We love you Grandma!!!!!!!!

Jumparoo

This is a newer version of the "Johnny Jump Around" She is learning to like it. She is still too small for it, but she loves to stand and likes to
stand in it right now...doesn't really bounce yet. I bought her this adorable fleece outfit the other day....daddy keeps the house a little chilly for a baby, so we need to dress warmly!

i think i am teething

Norah loves to chew on anything....she isn't much of a drooler, but she has started more....so I am thinking we are hitting the teething stage soon.
