LOVE my job!!

My awesome friend and and amazingly talented hair designer, Misty Blake, asked me to photograph a model of hers for a hair styling contest. Misty is the owner of "Symmetry Hair Design" in downton K-zoo. I had a great time!! Our stunning and adorable model, Jill, was a perfect fit for this project. I promised Jill I would do a slideshow of some of her pictures...so until then, here is a sneak peak. =)

Canvas Prints!!

I recently hooked up with this great canvas printing company to add the option of getting enlarged canvas prints to my clients. I personally LOVE them. They take a photograph, and make it shine!! The one of Norah is a 18"x24" print, and the one of our family is a 20"x30". Many people think those sizes are too big...but when you put them on your wall...they look amazing.
You may ask what exactly is a canvas print well...it is a photograph printed on a museum-quality canvas and hand stretched onto a custom built 1.5" thick wooden frame. They are made with the highest quality archival inks that will never fade or discolor. Each is sprayed with a UV coating for added protection and a gloss-type finish.
I highly recommend you make the investment into your own personal piece of art...of your child or your family. That family print of mine will be cherish by Norah for her lifetime...I hope that one day she will have that hanging in her home.

Corradini Family

I have been photographing baby Evan since he was in the womb. =) Denise and I have worked at Borgess for years, and I have been honored to photograph her adorable baby boy, and family. We spent a beautiful evening at South Haven beach to photograph Evan for his 1 year old photos, and get some family photos. I love photographing families. I really enjoy capturing the intimacy and love between the family members.

We are yoopers!! =)

I was born in the U.P. (some like my husband, think that is some kind of handicap), but I love my heritage from the "Copper Country"...we took a quick trip the Keewenaw Penisula to see my family. It was such a LONG drive....11 hours with stops. And we never left the state!! However, it was so nice to see everyone again and see all the beautiful sights. If you can get up to the Keewenaw...GO, you will love it! Its gorgeous!
Here are some pictures of norah and my little cousin Annie (nine years old...that girl is going to break some hearts some day). Most of the pics of Norah were taken in very old downtown of Calumet...amazing spot for pictures!! I will try to get more posted later...but here are some of my favs.

Good grief can toddlers be annoying...all I wanted was a cute photo of our adorable daughter in her patriotic outfit, and this is what we got. She was not in the mood, and we went from no smiles to throwing a fit quickly...I must admit we all have these kind of moods don't we? =) Hope you all have a great week, I am working on the wedding I did last week, and will hopefully have some pics on here soon. 4th of July Weekend

We were hoping to be gone with Jayme's family on vacation for 4th of July weekend..however we had to stay home. (we missed you guys) So we just "took it easy". Norah played in her little pool...she loves that thing, since we got it she has been in it everyday! On Sunday, we spent the evening with our church family at South Haven. Norah loved it! She loved the sand, water, glow sticks, and all the candy Grace was giving her. =) We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend...now, back to work.

Aaron and Casey

Goodness am I busy! But that is a good thing right?!?
Here is a wedding I did last weekend...Aaron and Casey, I was able to get to know them by doing engagement pictures with them last year, and they are just sweet kind people. I really enjoyed being with them all day long. I wish you both the best. Thank you!!

its summertime!

Norah is loving the summer weather. Norah was enjoying the park at South Haven. I have been doing several photo shoots out there lately, and Norah and Jayme come along and "play". Norah loves slides...the girl has no fear on them. Which makes her mommy a little nervous. =)

Heather and Josh

I photographed Heather and Josh's wedding in early June. It was my second wedding in one weekend...and the same weekend of my photography workshop I went to...so needless to say I was pretty tired when I started that day. However, Heather was so beautiful...she quickly inspired me! Heather and Josh were just so cute that day...you can tell they are crazy about each other. It was a fun day...I love my job.

Cedar Point

I mentioned in a previous blog we got to ride on Top Thrill Dragster..well here is a bad video I took of it while we were waiting in line. This was with my point and shoot camera...so all of you out there checking out my "photography skills"...don't judge me ok! =) This video does not show how fast you really go. I may have my stats wrong... but you shoot out of the gate there at 120mph, go up about 300 feet and come back down. It is instense! I loved it!!
