Christmas Eve

Hi Everyone!! It is after midnight....officially Christmas Eve as I type this. Our family all took long naps this afternoon, and now I can't sleep. =)
This little outfit is what Norah will be wearing on Christmas day. She loves it...its so cute, and looks quite comfortable. She has started opening some gifts...she loves opening gifts. She loves the process of it. We are looking forward to Christmas Day, and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Love...the gregersens =)

photography business

This is Jakob. He is 7 months old...and way too cute! He is the son of a co-worker of mine. I have been photographing him....while he was still in the womb. (maternity pictures of mom). This is one of my favorite Christmas pictures I have taken this year. His mom loved it....she used it for all her Christmas cards. He was so good during his photo shoot...I am looking forward to seeing him in another 3 months. Just FYI....he weighs more than Norah and is taller than her too. =) Big boy....but little girl too. =)

Christmas by Candlelight

Wow, what a great event this was this year. We had about 500 women come this year. And a majority of them are not from our church. We tried to reach out to our friends and family and let them learn the true meaning of Christmas. It was fun ,and tons of work. I went both nights, I hosted this table (with help from a friend)shown with my nativity scene. A husband and wife sang and entertained for us. It was really nice. It really gets you in the mood for Christmas!!

messy girl

Norah loves chocolate....sweets in general. I have to be careful and limit it, because she really really likes them. Here she is one day enjoying some chocolate. I don't give her much because it usually becomes a mess.

playing with cousin casey

Norah and Casey played together while we adults baked LOTS of cookies for Christmas. The pictures of sugar cookies on the table was just a fraction of the all the cookies we baked. This family likes cookies. =)

minnie mouse

I got this little costume on EBAY. It was the dress Norah wore to church right before Halloween. It is so cute. I had the hardest time making a decision on what cute costumer for her to wear for Halloween. I narrowed it down to three. =) And this is one of them.

quick learner

Norah has been watching mommy! She picked up my camera one day and acted like she knew exactly what to do. She will also point at the little view screen to see pictures of herself. In a couple of years I am going to have an assistant!!

raking leaves.

Dad, Matthew, and I spent an afternoon in my yard raking/blowing and bagging leaves. Norah loved it. She loved playing with and in the leaves, and surprisingly loved the blower. For a girl who is scared of the dustbuster, I was quite surprised.

Go Cubs!!

Though the season is over....we still have Norah wear her Cub outfit proudly. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. She was in a good mood that day with her Uncle Matthew making her laugh.

The Holiday Parade.

In Kalamazoo, they have their "Holiday Parade" very early. It was this past Saturday. A perfect day! Norah and I got up early and went to the Brandon's house, Norah stayed there while I joined over 20 other people from church downtown and blew up 1,000 helium balloons with our church "northbridge" on them. We then passed out all those balloons and candy bags to children through out downtown before the parade. It was really fun. The parade was great. Norah loved it....except for the big balloons...she was really scared of those. This was our first time, and I was quite impressed.

Halloween Night.

It was a rainy night. But we did our best to make it fun. We spent the first part of the evening with the Miller Family, then went to see the Gregersen Family at church, then we were off to Northbridge for Trunk or Treat....however the weather took a turn for the worse...and was so rainy and windy! Norah looked so so cute in her outfit...and it kept her warm. I wish we could do Halloween again and again, it is sad they only are "allowed" to wear this costume once. She had three costumes this year. A princess, Minnie Mouse, and the baby lamb. I couldn't resist!! =) So here are some pictures from that night, and the princess pictures are when she went trick or treating at the mall with daddy and Gpa and Gma Gregersen.

baby lamb.

This is the only one (of about 150 pics) picture that Norah is looking at me. She looks soooo cute in this costume. I just love it.

crazy kid

I went to a Mom's Conference this weekend, and was refreshed as a mom....though I slept HORRIBLE there that night. I learned that it is ok to not have a clean house all the time, and to keep my priorities on my family. To remember...its not all about me, housework, Norah, Jayme, but its all about God and glorifying Him. I had a rough week before i went to the conference, but this is what I needed. And i was ready to come back and face this little crazy kid again with a renewed spirit and a brand new book called "Creative Correction" Watch out Norah, I am learning how to handle you...hopefully sooner than later.

new hat and coat

Here is her new winter hat and coat. Notice how she is standing...I do the same thing with my foot!! That is so weird to see your kid have the same physical tendencies as yourself. Kind of scarry too. =)

our little pumpkin

I took these pictures of Norah last week standing next to her pumpkin. I had to work hard to get her to look at me/the camera...she is ignoring me now when I have a camera in hand. In just a couple of days...we will have her Halloween pictures up. I am so excited to see how cute she will look in her costume. She has two costumes this year....Minnie Mouse and a Baby Lamb. Both look just adorable on her.

swim class

We just finished Norah's first swim class called "Babes In Arms". She loved it. She would get so excited when we walked in the pool area. It was a great way for us to have fun together and get out of the house. It was such a fun class with all the other babies there too. Very cute!!

riding a bike

Norah loves this little bike I found for her last week at a garage sale. Her legs are too short to reach the pedals and definetly too short when she tries to sit on the seat...but heh I think she is compensating quite well!!

little norah...

It has gotten chilly lately, and I brought out the new Winter coat for Norah. It is 18 month size and I got it this past Spring on Clearance. Well it is HUGE on her....as you can see. =) So we went to our favorite store OLD NAVY and had to buy her a 6 to 12 month size coat!!! That is the same size she wore last year! My little Norah. That's ok, I want her to stay little...and she is. =)

norah's needs

When Norah is in the carseat...she requests (usually by grunting, pointing, or screaming) for "Snuggles"(the bear), her paci, and her sippy cup. Then....life is good.

one little monkey jumping....

Norah was loving the trampoline at G'pa and G'ma Gregersen's house. She would run around and around, and every once and a while try to jump. It was a very warm night...so that is why she is in just a diaper.

last dr. appt.

I forgot to give the stats for Norah's last Dr. appt. She is 20.4lbs. Just barely legal in her front facing carseat. =) She is 28 inches long, too short to even be on the charts technically. But she is healthy and doing well. I made this scrapbook page of her at 15 months, so we don't forget all those wonderful quirky things she does at this fast fleeting time in her life.

busted...

I was talking to my dad this morning on the phone, and realized the house had a strange quietness to it, so I went looking for Norah, and this is what I found. She was taking a dip in the Eucerin lotion bottle. Who knows how much she ate. She was quite proud of herself, and then quite angry when I took it away. hmmm....cute, but what a mess.

just chillin'

we were on our way to "Frosty Boy" for some ice cream....Norah was just relaxing, enjoying her stroller ride. We are loving this extra warm weather ...I honestly wouldn't mind skipping winter and going right back to summer.

steak and shake...

A little over a month ago we went to "Steak and Shake" with Uncle Matthew and Grandpa...

the waitress gave us a bib and a hat, and of course...crackers.
